The Wayne State University College of Nursing (WSUCON) seeks applications, inquiries and nominations for the position of Associate Dean of Nursing-Research. Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing, the Associate Dean will provide leadership, plan and monitor the research programs of the College of Nursing.  This role has primary responsibility for research development and the mentoring of others in their research as well as oversight of the Office of Health Research.

Located within a public urban research university, and with the most diverse student body in Michigan, the Wayne State University College of Nursing offers a contemporary nursing education. Programs offered include Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing, as well as several clinical specialty graduate certificates.

Candidates must possess an R.N., and Ph.D., with academic administrative experience from an accredited college or university and qualification for appointment at senior faculty rank with tenure. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in research with experience as a principal investigator of externally funded projects. The successful candidate must also demonstrate progressive administrative leadership experience in an academic nursing environment, the ability to champion nursing research within a preeminent research institution and work collaboratively with colleagues throughout WSUCON and across the University.
